Table Footnotes *Scopes with 2" focusers will require the RAD-1074 accessory to accept 2.4" Imaging System accessories. Imaging System accessories used with 2" focusers may not provide the large field illumination found in the 2.4" focusers of "is" scopes. †The "is" scopes include Focusmate installed on the focuser. |

Optical accessories in the Imaging System optimize the image for specific applications.
Optical accessories in the Imaging System optimize the image for specific applications.
• The Large Field Corrector optimizes images at the edge of field when imaging through the Tele Vue-NP101, NP101is and NP127is telescopes. Recommended for cameras with diagonal sizes larger than APS format or in all sensor formats when the sensor pixels are < 6 µm. See telescope manual for backspacing. For non Imaging System Tele Vue-NP101 use 77.3mm +/- 1.6mm.
• A reducer has the optical property of decreasing the effective focal length of the telescope. Reduced focal length results in wider-field and faster imaging time on nebulae and galaxies. The NPR-2073 0.8x Reducer for NP Scopes was specifically designed to be used with the NP127is and NP101is. While it can also be used to enlarge the field of other Tele Vue Petzval type telescopes, it will not provide additional correction for those models. This reducer was designed to minimize vignetting with camera sensors up to 43mm diagonal (Full Frame) and is a replacement for the previous 0.8x reducer, the NPR-1073, which
worked best up to APS-C sensors. When combined with a Tele Vue Petzval type telescope, it reduces the focal length
of the telescope by 20% and increases the telescope's field of view by 25%. See instructions for back focal length spacing details.
• Flatteners clean-up focus away from the center of an image.
The 0.8x Reducer/Flattener for 102 Scopes reduces telescope focal length to 80% while flattening the field for up to 35mm frame formats. Although optimized for TV102 scopes, it also works with any non-flat-field refractors (such as doublets or triplets) from 800-1000mm focal length.
• Imaging System 48mm Filter Adapter allows use of
48mm filters in optical-train and takes up 0.25” / 6.4mm of spacing. Best if used closest to
the chip to minimize any vignetting.
Focal Path: System Conversion
These conversion parts allow Imaging System accessories to attach to scopes with 2" focusers and connect 2" and SCT accessories to Imaging System parts.

• This is a key component to the imaging system's versatility on non-"is" scopes. By placing the Imaging System Nosepiece for 2" Focuser in your standard 2" drawtube, you open up your telescope to accept the 2.4" Imaging System accessories and take advantage of the solid threaded connection. Take up 0.12" / 3mm of back focus when fully inserted.
• 2.4" Adapter for 2" Accessories is another key
component that expands the usability of your existing 2" accessories. The
adapter allows any 2” accessory to connect to the Imaging System. This includes
cameras and filter wheels with 2" nosepieces. This adapter includes dual
thumb-screws and non-marring brass clamp ring. Takes up 1.2" / 30.5mm of path length.
Focal Path: Camera Adapters
Camera adapters connect to the back of all focal path accessories and provide a place to attach the camera.
Camera adapters connect to the back of all focal path accessories and provide a place to attach the camera.
• Standard T-Ring Adapter for 2.4" provides a standard T-ring thread to attach your camera too. Recommended for cameras with APS-size or smaller chips. Takes up 0.26" / 6.6mm of path length when connected to other Imaging System accessories.
• Canon EOS cameras are popular with astro-imaging enthusiasts. But, the typical T-ring / telescope setup does not take advantage of the wide aperture of the Canon bayonet mount: significant vignetting is caused by the constriction of the T-ring opening. Canon Wide T Adapter with Bayonet for 2.4" connects to your EOS in place of the T-ring and provides 25% greater aperture to minimize vignetting.
• Nikon cameras are popular with astro-imaging enthusiasts. But, the typical T-ring / telescope setup does not take advantage of the wide aperture of the bayonet mount: significant vignetting is caused by the constriction of the T-ring opening. Nikon F Wide T Adapter with Bayonet for 2.4" connects to your Nikon F-mount camera in place of the T-ring and provides 13% greater aperture to minimize vignetting. Can be used with Nikon Z-series mirrorless cameras using an F-to-Z adapter (FTZ) available at camera stores.
• This has an M54 x 0.75mm male thread on one side and our 2.4" imaging system thread on the other. This is useful for connecting M54 threaded accessories to Tele Vue imaging system. Takes up 0.26" / 6.6mm of path length when connected to other Imaging System accessories.
• SBIG STL Camera Adapter for 2.4" threads directly onto the STL11000. Takes up 0.26" / 6.6mm of path length when connected to other Imaging System accessories.
Focal Path: Extension
Focuser extensions of various lengths are often used to create the necessary distance for proper spacing of field lenses to imager; the required distance will vary depending on camera specifications. All are black anodized aluminum with anti-reflection threads for maximum contrast.

• 0.50" Length Accessory Tube for 2.4" adds 0.500"
(12.7mm) extension between Imaging System accessories.
• 1.0" Length Accessory Tube for 2.4" adds 1.000"
(25.4mm) extension between Imaging System accessories.
• Set of 2 Accessory Tubes is a convenient set of the
1mm & 2mm spacers described above. This allows great versatility in achieving the
necessary distance for proper spacing of field lenses to image plane.
• Set of 6 Accessory Tubes is a complete set of the
tubes/spacers described above. This allows great versatility in achieving the
necessary distance for proper spacing of field lenses to image plane.
Mount Rings
Mount Rings attach Tele Vue telescope to your mount. Our dual rings each have bat-handle locks, and two Tele Vue accessory slots for ring-mounted accessories such as Starbeam, Sol-Searcher, Piggy-Cam and others. The adjustable top plate is for spacing the ring set and adding additional accessories. Bottom of each ring is drilled for ¼"-20 hardware.

• Mount Ring Set for 4” Diameter Tube provides a rigid means of holding any 4" diameter telescope tube. The individual rings can be spaced any distance apart or from 5.5" to 6.5" apart with the accessory bar or bottom plate attached. This flexibility allows the Mount Ring Set to accommodate a variety of mounts. Each ring has two accessory channels with #10-32 tapped holes, and a #¼"-20 tapped hole on the top and bottom to accept the accessory bar, bottom plate, a stud or bolt as necessary. The accessory bar has a variety of holes to accept Tele Vue Starbeam and even a slot with which you can piggyback a smaller Tele Vue refractor. The included bottom plate (BPL-1098) is drilled to mate to a variety of mounts or mounting adapter plates - including the Tele Vue/Vixen Mount Adapter (AVT-1011) and Tele Vue Gibraltar-5 Head.
