  • Tele Vue-76 Gallery: Catching Up with Diego Cartes! (8/6/2021)
Diego Cartes images the southern skies from Chile with his Tele Vue-76 APO refractor and Tele Vue TRF-2008 0.8x Reducer/Flattener. This combination achieves a 380mm focal length at f/5, ideal for imaging large swaths of deep sky. We also answer the question: What is the "Hubble Palette"?
  • Tele Vue-76: Imaging New Mexico Skies! (1/27/2021)
Every clear night Brian Paczkowski images with his Tele Vue-76 installed at a remote observatory located at Dark Sky New Mexico (DSNM). He dedicates his Instagram wall of astroimages, "to my love of astrophotography".
  • Tele Vue-76: Imaging the Skies over Washington! (7/8/2020)
Andrew Thomas has been posting beautiful wide-field sky images on his Flickr feed. He's imaging with one of our smaller scopes, the highly portable and capable Tele Vue-76 APO refractor!
  • 02 July 2019 Total Solar Eclipse Images (7/18/2019)
In Chile, two Tele Vue users, one from Indonesia and the other from Finland, independently setup their gear to record the event. We feature Wijaya Sukwanto's images taken with the Tele Vue-76 APO scope with Powermate image amplifiers and Pekka Rautajoki's sketches drawn with the TeleVue-85.
  • Tele Vue and the Moon Men from Philly! (05/16/2019)
Here we introduce to you the "Philly Moon Men" who crossed Europe one summer with a Tele Vue-76, Tele-Pod Mount, FoneMate, Diagonal, and various of our eyepieces on bikes! Our gear was a great fit with their outreach goals. One of the "Moon Men" wrote us during the trip: "As an optical engineer myself, the build quality is some of the highest I have found in an instrument of any kind. Even an untrained eye can tell the difference. People stay longer and ask more questions. They take their time to look again. Our FoneMate makes it easy for us to take pictures, and we send people home with a memory of what the Universe looks like." We also note that bicycling long-distance with a Tele Vue telescope is a recurring theme for us!
  • Tele Vue-76: Imaging the Southern Hemisphere (12/6/2018)
Good things do come in small packages! This blog post explores Diego Cartes' imaging journey in southern hemisphere skies with the Tele Vue-76
